What is it

Gold Buckle Bootcamp was built to help you match the agility, strength, and athleticism of your equine partner. Led by an experienced fitness coach & barrel racer who understands the demands of the sport and the lifestyle that comes with it. You’ll gain access to a training program with multiple equipment options that actually targets the key areas beneficial for you as a barrel racer.

GBB will challenge you with a variety of exercises, ranging from cardio to strength training, and a dose of flexibility work to improve your performance in the arena. You’ll be held accountable as you throughout this journey with a supportive group environment, custom nutrition advice, and an 8-week training program.

Who is it for

Gold Buckle Bootcamp is for the barrel racer looking to finally become the athlete and partner your horse deservesMore specifically, if you’ve struggled through other fitness programs only to not notice a difference in the saddle, staying consistent with your nutrition and workouts, and accountability. Every tenth of a second counts in our sport, so make the investment in yourself as an athlete and join us in GBB.

SCHEDULE

WEEK 1:

You will get started with your workouts and starting to track your nutrition intake. We will also have our first group call to talk through time management and mindset. 

WEEK 2:

I will be providing your individual macro goals and nutrition protocol at this point as well as recommendations and the “why” behind the numbers. 

WEEK 3:

We will have our second group call discussing nutrition – aka our most informative call. You will start to really get into the routine with your training at this point. 

WEEK 4:

Last week of the first phase of the training program. At this point, you’re starting to notice a difference in the saddle. 

WEEK 5:

You’ll be starting new workouts that build off of the first half of the program. You have started to create the habits and routines to see long-term results at this point. 

WEEK 6:

We will have our third group call discussing supplements – a topic that can be overwhelming. This is typically when your friends start to notice the difference. 

WEEK 7:

After 6 weeks of putting in the work, you are feeling so much more solid in the saddle and you’re starting to see the difference in yourself. 

WEEK 8:

In the last week of GBB, you’re feeling more confident in your ability to ride, you’ve created the routines and habits to make this last, and you’re about to crush the rest of the program.

The GBB training program is designed to help you increase your speed and agility, improve your balance and coordination in the saddle, build those fast-twitch muscle fibers for quicker reaction times, and improve overall health and wellness to keep you competing longer and prevent injuries.
GBB is so much more than just online workouts. You’ll have access to nutrition guidance and support to help fuel your body for peak performance. We’ll offer tips and strategies for mental preparation, so you can approach your fitness journey with confidence and focus. Success in the arena requires more than horsepower, luckily, Gold Buckle Bootcamp is the extra “umph” you need.

Questions?

Let’s run through some of the most common questions I’ve gotten about Gold Buckle Bootcamp. 

That’s completely fine! Gold Buckle Bootcamp gives you all the guidance in your workouts including outlining exactly how many sets and reps, timers for HIIT workouts, and how-to videos for each exercise.

Regardless of if you’re new to working out or are a gym veteran, GBB will be extremely beneficial for you as a barrel racer!

You’ll receive individual macro calculations based on your current nutrition habits and your goals. 

But you’re not just getting numbers to follow! You will also get a full explanation on the “why” behind the number along with recommendations based on what I’ve observed in your first week of tracking your nutrition. 

Average workout time will vary based on the equipment option you choose from. 

Generally, workout lengths are…

Gym workouts: 45-60 minutes
DB only workouts: 30 minutes
Resistance Band workouts: 20-40 minutes
Bodyweight workouts: 30 minutes

The training program is broken up into two 4-week phases. 

The workouts include variations of: 

  • Legs and Core
  • Upper Body
  • Full Body
  • Cardio 
  • Active Rest Yoga

 

The great thing about Gold Buckle Bootcamp is you have access to multiple workouts that vary in equipment requirements. 

  • Bodyweight workouts: no equipment required
  • Resistance Band workouts: set of resistance bands with the door stopper, ankle wraps, etc. 
  • DB workouts: 1-2 sets of dumbbells – kettlebells will likely work too
  • Gym workouts: your general gym equipment – free weights, cable machine, etc.

That’s completely fine! I have a number of athletes that are already in other BRF programs that join us in GBB.
